Hot shot detective Matthew Bediker has struggled with anger and feelings of abandonment for most of his life. However, despite those emotionally crippling experiences, the recent passing of his childhood friend and partner Harold Jenkins and being unsuccessful at turning one of his best friends into his lover, his life was perfect. When the ghost of a small boy (who had been brutally raped and murdered by a mysterious serial killer) enlists Bedikeržs assistance in identifying, apprehending and bringing his killer to justice, Bediker suddenly realizes that although he can run from his demons, he canžt hide from them. The ghost forces Bediker to confront and conquer his demons, and in so doing, changes Bedikeržs life forever.
